The Lid is officially out. Paperback and Kindle, on Amazon: thelidbook.com/buy
If you’ve been reading The Path for a while, you’ve already met this book — it started as four essays that ran here. What the book adds is the part the essays couldn’t hold: the full shape of the thing, where it comes from, why it stays, and the method for getting across it. Something you can sit down with, work through, and use.
Bob Burg, co-author of The Go-Giver, posted about it this morning, which I’m still getting used to. His conversation on the podcast last year is where the book got its name. Check out Bob's post on LinkedIn!
One more thing, and it’s the reason I’m writing today rather than just announcing.
In January, I’m running the first live cohort built on the book. Six weeks, one 90-minute session a week, online, ten people. You complete the Lid Audit before the first session; after that, each week works one instrument from the book — together, with the thing a workbook can’t give you: other people asking the question you’d skip, helping you find your next move, and watching you commit to it.
It isn’t for someone starting out. It’s for people who’ve been building for a while, are earning, and have hit the point where things work, but the next level stays just out of reach.
The standing price is $4,000. The founding group is $2,500 — not a discount, a trade. I’m asking the first ten to help shape it, with honest feedback and a testimonial at the end, and the price reflects that.
There’s no checkout page. Every seat starts with a 20-minute call to make sure it’s a fit. If you want one of the ten, the application is here: thelidbook.com/apply. It closes January 7.
Last thing. If you read The Lid and it lands, a short Amazon review in the next couple of weeks is the single most useful thing you can do for a book like this.
Thanks for reading.

Some of you have already read the essays that started this whole thing. The book takes those ideas further, connecting the underlying problem to a practical method for identifying what’s keeping you stuck and making your next move.
If you’ve built something that works but can’t quite figure out why it isn’t moving further, this one’s for you.
